2 Hours of Sewing Lessons for $20.00
Ready, take a deep breath and clear your mind. Today let’s talk about kinds of words and by kinds I mean special kinds like palindromes, homophones, and homonyms. You almost never talk about these things once you leave elementary school so sometimes it’s fun to have a little refresher. That way you get to say, “Oh yeah, I remember that.”
You may remember that palindromes are words that are the spelled the same way forward and backwards like civic or kayak. Then there are homonyms. These are words that are usually spelled the same, and sound the same but have different meanings. A good example is bank. A bank can be the side of a river, a place to keep your money or to carom off of something.
Then there are heteronyms which are words that are spelled the same but are pronounced differently and mean different things like lead. Lead can be a metal or to guide. Homophones are words that are pronounced the same but differ in spelling and meaning like knight and night or so and sew. This leads us to today’s deal two hours of sewing lessons for $20 from Queen’s Knight Seven located in Jo-Ann’s Fabrics at 3010 Ming Avenue.
